The chronograph is operated using a pushbutton in the side of the case at 8 o’clock. The time of day is displayed in an off-centre dial that features a 1 to 31 scale for the date indicator within the hour circle. The chronograph functions with 60-second, 30-minutes and 1/10-second subdails, and also features an easy-to-read date window perched at 4 o’clock. The face is protected by a scratch-resistant mineral crystal with a gentle sapphire coating, which complements the stylish red, high-grade rubber strap. The chronograph usually doesn’t describe the “movement” of a watch, instead this usually describes the “complications” of the watches movements.
The chronograph functions include center second counter, 30-minute counter and 12-hour counter. The calendar is set at the 4 o’clock position. The chronograph function is manipulated by a start/stop button and a reset button. The chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5 second increments. Alarm hands can be set to indicate the time in a different time zone. The chronograph function is also nearly impossible to read.
The chronograph dials are easy to read and I appreciate the wealth of marks on those subdials. The chronograph can record up to 10 hours aggregate time on its minutes and hours counters. And it is always prepared to measure a new time since the flyback function allows the chronograph be reset to zero at anytime while working.
The chronograph second hand appears in eye-catching red, which enhances this model’s exclusive sporty look. The chronograph function offers central chrono seconds, as well as counters for both elapsed minutes and hours. A date display, which appears under a magnifier on the sapphire crystal, can be readily corrected via the crown when required.
